The JHS Student Council held an item collection drive, which concluded on October 18th, to collect items to be sent to hurricane victims in North Carolina. There were various needs such as basic clothing items, canned and non-perishable food, and cleaning and hygienic products. These items were collected in first period classes, and teachers without first period classes were able to collect during a different period of their choice.
Senior Brooklyn Herrold was the winner for the most collected items; she won a pizza party with friends.
Mrs. Heidenreich’s class came in second, and Mrs. Smith’s class came in third.
Over 400 items were collected and donated to JPH enterprises, who then delivered them to Cajun Navy in North Carolina. Thanks to all who donated!
